There are 6 different color patterns, found in pigeons. In order of dominence, they are: T-Pattern, 3 Checks (Dark Check, Check, & Light Check), Bar, and Barless. All other patterns are mutations of these six patterns. The Bar pattern in pigeons is the "wild type" which is found in nature.
